Coach Nick Huston

HISTORY

Coach Nick Huston is a local kid from Rigby, Idaho. He had a dream to play college basketball ever since he was a young kid and used to watch his dad play church ball. He played basketball at Rigby High School where he started on the varsity team in both his junior and senior seasons. During his senior season his team was able to win the 4A Idaho State Championship. He was also the 4A player of the year runner-up and was included on the 4A All Conference Team. After high school he served a mission in California for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Four days after returning home he moved down to central Utah to play basketball at Snow College. During his two years at Snow College, he helped the team win a conference championship. He also ended his sophomore season ranking in the top 10 in 3-point percentage in the NJCAA, shooting 50% from three. After Snow College he attended Idaho State University where he also competed on the Men’s Basketball Team. Coach Nick is now planning on playing his final year at the University of Nebraska Kearney where he will also finish his degree in accounting.

Coach Nick has been blessed with a supportive family who have helped and supported him reaching his goals. His wife Kayza and dog Max have followed him to each college and are his biggest supporters. Outside of basketball he likes spending time with his wife and dog and doing motorsports.
